A poet—
of aching lines,
of wounded history!
An artist
with a graceful pen
and
the ink of thought!
He etched
the fractured bodies of humans
and
the bent figure of time
into the ancient roots
of culture and society—
to rewrite the world around us.
He summoned oppression
to stand trial before truth,
and many of history’s self-proclaimed players
he hung—
in the fragile,
layered fields
of his intricate lines—
from the broken and bowed back of innocence.
His satire
tore through the skin of society
to reach
the wounded heart of humanity…
With the lonely child of his imagination,
he etched
on every smileless lip
and
every helpless eye
—an image—
to lay bare the truth.
And in the end—
in solitude and silence,
in the dim alleyways of the city,
in stillness,
he wept
for history…
